Battle at the Boat 123 (September 7, 2019)

What a great night of out at the Emerald Queen Casino as Brian Halquest Productions delivers on stellar night of fights. Andy Nance’s matchmaking is what really makes this one of the best shows in the Pacific Northwest. Every fight was competitive and had the crowd on their feet several times throughout the event.

Here’s a few of my selects of the action from ringside. Thank you NW Fightscene for having me out to shoot on your behalf.

From the fine folks at, Asgard503

It’s always a lovely surprise when I get care packages from the homies around the way. Huge thank you to, Michael Ciochon, who sent up up some of the new gear from his Portland, OR based Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gear and lifestyle brand, Asgard503. Wanting to mix it up a bit from the last shoot, I got a hold of one of my old kickboxing student and talked her to meeting me at 11pm to do a little shadowboxing in the middle of the street. Totally a normal thing, I swear. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from the night…

2019 Crazy Monkey Kettlebell Competition

This last weekend I had the privilege of shooting the 2019 International Kettlebell Organization USA National Championship hosted by Crazy Monkey USA for the 3rd straight year. This has quickly became one of my highlights of the summer. Not only do these athletes train like animals, but they also leave it all on the platform. It’s awesome to see the athletes putting in work. Many competed for the first time and others broke personal records. Overall with, Saiko Shima-Kolesar taking the lead, this is one of he best organized events I’ve ever shot with everything running like clockwork!

Here’s a few of my faves from this years comp.

Maternity x Fitness

One of the more fun projects I’ve been able to work on right here. I was stoked when Katherine reached out to me with the idea of doing a fitness related maternity shoot based around her love of boxing and kettlebells. She’s a total savage with doing this shoot 20 days out from her due date!! One day I want to be half a cool as Katherine.

Seattle Majestics vs SD Surge 5-4-2019

Saturday night saw the Seattle Majestics come out swinging and for the first time in team history, beat the powerhouse San Diego Surge 22-10! Just like in life, it’s all about small steps and being a little better today than you were yesterday. Today the Majestic were the best they’ve ever been with all aspects of the team firing on all cylinders! It was an impressive win!

And now it’s time for the playoff’s!! I can’t wait to see where this team goes in the post season!!

Dominate FC II

After fight week in Chicago leading up to Glory 58 last Friday, I had just enough time to head straight back to work for Dominate FC II at the Tacoma Dome. Literally worked all night Friday till the shuttle took me to the airport at 5am. I had just enough time to make it all work out. Like I had about a 3 hour nap on the flight and I was still wearing the same cloths from the night before cause there wasn’t enough time to make it home before I need to show up to the venue. Hahah. I was originally planning on going to be back in Europe, but due to a few “technical” difficulties, I came home instead. Thankfully so, because DFC II was epic! I had an Allstar team made up of Abbie Parr, David Craig, Heidi Marshall, Doug Hills and Hannah Mootz on task to hold down the fort for me. Everyone of them absolutely crushed it. Proud of how these 5 strangers (at the time) that I threw into the mix for the first time came together and ran things like the professionals they are!!

Only 2 shows in and Dominate FC is already the premier show in the south end. Showcasing only the best of the best amateurs, and incredibly talented up and coming professionals alongside WSOF and UFC veterans. Here’s a few of my selects from the night of action.
