San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks 12-29-2019

In the final game of the regular season it came down to two teams that would leave first place in the NFC and a bye in the first round of the playoffs. With the season ending injuries of starting running backs, Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and CJ Prosise, we got to see the return of Marshawn Lynch into the Seahawks backfield. It was only fitting that the game came down to the last play of the game. With that, San Francisco came out ahead after stopping Seattle in the red zone with only seconds left on the clock. The 49res take the win 26-21, a first round bye are lined up to play the Vikings on January 11th. Meanwhile the Seahawks drop from 1st place into 5th and head into the post season as a wild card team against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here’s a few highlights from the final game of the regular season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks

What a wild game... the Seahawks beat the Buccaneers 40-34 in overtime on a Russell Wilson to Will Dissly Touchdown. I’ve shot at Century Link Field several times for the Sounders matches, but how loud the 12’s get, is on a whole other level! Soon as I get back I dropped some ear plugs to into the camera bag for the next time.

Battle at the Boat 123 (September 7, 2019)

What a great night of out at the Emerald Queen Casino as Brian Halquest Productions delivers on stellar night of fights. Andy Nance’s matchmaking is what really makes this one of the best shows in the Pacific Northwest. Every fight was competitive and had the crowd on their feet several times throughout the event.

Here’s a few of my selects of the action from ringside. Thank you NW Fightscene for having me out to shoot on your behalf.

Seattle Sounders FC SEAvNE (8-10-2019)

What a crazy game! From the Sounders being up, to being down and then pulling ahead again just to have the game end in a tie. But the most important part was that I broke my stupid monopod the night before and didn’t have the reach that my 400mm lens usually gives me. Looks like I’ll be visiting B&H to pick up a new one before the next match.

Here’s my selects from a bright sun shinny day at Century Link Field in Seattle, WA

From the fine folks at, Asgard503

It’s always a lovely surprise when I get care packages from the homies around the way. Huge thank you to, Michael Ciochon, who sent up up some of the new gear from his Portland, OR based Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gear and lifestyle brand, Asgard503. Wanting to mix it up a bit from the last shoot, I got a hold of one of my old kickboxing student and talked her to meeting me at 11pm to do a little shadowboxing in the middle of the street. Totally a normal thing, I swear. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from the night…

2019 Crazy Monkey Kettlebell Competition

This last weekend I had the privilege of shooting the 2019 International Kettlebell Organization USA National Championship hosted by Crazy Monkey USA for the 3rd straight year. This has quickly became one of my highlights of the summer. Not only do these athletes train like animals, but they also leave it all on the platform. It’s awesome to see the athletes putting in work. Many competed for the first time and others broke personal records. Overall with, Saiko Shima-Kolesar taking the lead, this is one of he best organized events I’ve ever shot with everything running like clockwork!

Here’s a few of my faves from this years comp.

Maternity x Fitness

One of the more fun projects I’ve been able to work on right here. I was stoked when Katherine reached out to me with the idea of doing a fitness related maternity shoot based around her love of boxing and kettlebells. She’s a total savage with doing this shoot 20 days out from her due date!! One day I want to be half a cool as Katherine.

Seattle Sounders FC SEAvHOU (5-11-2019)

May 11th saw the Seattle Sounders FC come away with a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo for a much needed 3 points by way of Christian Roldan scoring from the outside at 4:41 in the first half. On a photography related note, I wanted to push myself outside the usual thing I’ve been doing and shot a good portion from the 300 level at Century Link Field. I think I got a couple interesting shots. That said, next time I think I’m gonna add a 1.4x or 2x converter to the Canon 400 f/2.8L to shoot from up on high.

Here’s a few highlights from the match…

Seattle Majestics vs SD Surge 5-4-2019

Saturday night saw the Seattle Majestics come out swinging and for the first time in team history, beat the powerhouse San Diego Surge 22-10! Just like in life, it’s all about small steps and being a little better today than you were yesterday. Today the Majestic were the best they’ve ever been with all aspects of the team firing on all cylinders! It was an impressive win!

And now it’s time for the playoff’s!! I can’t wait to see where this team goes in the post season!!

Seattle Majestics vs LA Bobcats (4-27-2019)

First off...What an amazing group of ATHLETES here!!!
Here’s a few highlights from Saturdays WNFC game featuring the Seattle Majestics Women's Tackle Football and the Los Angeles Bobcats. The Majestics faced the bobcats in the season opener in LA and came away with their only loss of the season as well as couple season ending injuries. This time around the Majestics came out in a dominate fashion with a solid 16-6 victory over their west coast rival!
Full game album is up on the Seattle Majestics Women's Tackle Football FB page!

Seattle Sounders FC SEAvLAFC (4-28-2019)

What started off looking like it was going to be a high scoring match up with Jordan Morris scoring the fastest Sounders FC goal (as an MLS Franchise) at the :46sec mark into the match, and LAFC equalizing a few minuets later. And that’s where the score stood for the next 90min of play (inc. the 4 added min by the ref). Things heated up pretty quickly after Christian Roldan received a red card in the 18th minuet as play became more and more physical with the sounders down to 10 men on the field. It wasn’t the prettiest of matches as both teams come away with 1 point each.

Here’s a few of my selects from the match.

Seattle Sounders FC SEAvTOR (4/13/19)

What a great day on the pitch! The Seattle Sounders FC are on fire as they beat Toronto FC 3-2 in what has become an intense rivalry between the two power houses!! I’ll be looking forward to more of this kind of dominating action as things keep heating up over the season!
Here’s a few of my faves from the match…

Seattle Majestics 2019 Home Opener

Saturday night we saw the return of the Seattle Majestics in their home opener against a tough Las Vegas Silver Stars. The emotions were high for the Majestics after, not only coming off a away game that left them short on the roster due to some devastating injuries. But also saw the passing of a former teammate and family member. The game was dedicated to the memory of J. Moss.

With all the adversity they faced, it made their hard fought 20-0 win that much sweeter!

Seattle Sounders FC (SEAvCOL)

Excited to be back in the mix covering the Seattle Sounders FC for Emerald City Supporters this season! Lots of highlights coming over the season. And here's a few from Saturdays 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at CenturyLink Field.

Dominate FC II

After fight week in Chicago leading up to Glory 58 last Friday, I had just enough time to head straight back to work for Dominate FC II at the Tacoma Dome. Literally worked all night Friday till the shuttle took me to the airport at 5am. I had just enough time to make it all work out. Like I had about a 3 hour nap on the flight and I was still wearing the same cloths from the night before cause there wasn’t enough time to make it home before I need to show up to the venue. Hahah. I was originally planning on going to be back in Europe, but due to a few “technical” difficulties, I came home instead. Thankfully so, because DFC II was epic! I had an Allstar team made up of Abbie Parr, David Craig, Heidi Marshall, Doug Hills and Hannah Mootz on task to hold down the fort for me. Everyone of them absolutely crushed it. Proud of how these 5 strangers (at the time) that I threw into the mix for the first time came together and ran things like the professionals they are!!

Only 2 shows in and Dominate FC is already the premier show in the south end. Showcasing only the best of the best amateurs, and incredibly talented up and coming professionals alongside WSOF and UFC veterans. Here’s a few of my selects from the night of action.
